A Moment of Solace

I once visited a brother and sister in New Delhi who had just lost their father. Living alone in their flat, they were overwhelmed with grief. A family friend tried to comfort them, saying softly, “Don’t worry, I am just a call away.”

At that moment, a profound thought occurred to me: God Almighty is also just a call away from every man and woman.

God Is Nearer Than We Think

The Creator has made the human-God relationship one of closeness, not distance. A person may be anywhere in the world, yet he can call upon God instantly. This awareness gives one unshakable confidence — a permanent source of help and reassurance in every circumstance.

Just as carrying a mobile phone allows you to contact your family at any time, believing in God gives you the comfort that you are never alone. Your spiritual connection is always open.

My Own Experience with Divine Help

As someone who has placed his trust in God throughout life, I have experienced this nearness many times. Whenever I found myself helpless, I prayed — and without fail, God helped me. He removed obstacles, opened paths, and turned situations in my favour.

This belief has become my inner strength. It gives conviction, perseverance, and clarity of mind. Every human being needs such a source of assurance, especially when life presents challenges beyond one’s capacity.

Belief as a Source of Energy and Courage

Life often confronts us with situations where our limited resources seem insufficient. In such moments, belief in a higher power becomes essential. It energizes the mind, inspires fresh courage, and helps us tap into our hidden reserves.

This belief fills our struggle with hope. It guides us when we enter unfamiliar territories of life. It lifts us when our spirit feels weak.

A Lighthouse in the Storm

Belief in God functions like a lighthouse for a sailor navigating dark and uncertain waters. The captain of a ship may feel utterly alone, but the lighthouse’s beam gives him hope, direction, and the will to continue. He follows its light — and safely reaches his destination.

Such is the role of God in human life. We are all travellers on a vast ocean. To believe that someone watches over us from the shore, ready to help, transforms our journey.

Success: Half Struggle, Half Hope

Human success is built on two pillars — effort and hope. God provides the second. The truth is simple but powerful: there is no distance between man and God. He is always near. He is just a call away.

I am now 91 years old, and my life has been filled with challenges and trials. What carried me through every difficulty was one thing — my unwavering belief in God.
