El Profeta Muhammad, por orden de Dios, llamó a los hombres a la adoración de un solo Dios y proclamó que, respondiendo a este llamado, la humanidad alcanzaría verdadera dignidad, honor, prosperidad y felicidad. En un período sorprendentemente breve, y en vastas áreas que estaban bajo el dominio de la ignorancia, la oscuridad y la confusión finalmente se disiparon, se estableció el orden y surgieron todo tipo de instituciones benéficas, se estableció un alto orden moral y las bendiciones del conocimiento, el aprendizaje y la ciencia comenzaron a difundirse ampliamente. La fuerza de este mensaje fue su simplicidad cristalina y su maravillosa facilidad, ya que el Islam llegó al alma de la gente sin tener que recurrir a largas explicaciones o sermones complicados. Gracias a este mensaje, que trajo los ideales de tauhid, resalat, paz y armonía, el paganismo en sus diversas formas fue derrotado, y la dignidad humana finalmente se convirtió en una realidad. El Islam enseñó el pensamiento correcto, la acción apropiada y el habla honesta, y por estas razones encontró su camino, sin ninguna dificultad, tanto en las mentes como en los corazones de los hombres.

The main themes of the Quran are enlightenment, closeness to God, peace and spirituality. The Quran uses several terms, tawassum, tadabbur, and tafakkur, which indicate the learning of lessons through reflection, thinking and contemplation on the signs of God scattered across the world. The present translation of the Quran and its explanatory notes are written keeping in mind these very themes.
